Just got my car insurance rate lowered

I called finally, to update my commuting miles, and my husband's as well. I just saved us $20 per month! I'd like to say I will snowflake it, but unfortunately that extra will go to other monthly bills.

Now I am deciding whether to cancel my cell phone, that would save another $30.

Congrats on getting your insurance lowered. I have thought about my cell phone too. We have 2 so my bill is doubled yours, but we use it so much and we have unlimited long distance nights and weekends, plus we get 100 free minutes on our regular long distance.

I travel a lot with work so I believe in the long run it does save me $$ and the convience and feel safe factor, for me is so worth the money.

Interesting about the phones. We actually got rid of our land line. Between the two of us, we have three cell phone, though we only pay for one.

Good deal on the insurance. I can't wait because for our next 6 month term one of my husband's 3 (!) tickets will come off so that will lower it a little.

On the cell phone thing: my husband and I have cell phones, so free long distance, unlimited nights and weekend, and unlimited Sprint to Sprint calls. We DON"T have a home phone. Plus no annoying telemarketers! The downside, before I got caught up on my bills the collection people would call me at the grocery store or while I was driving...but I wouldn't answer anyway! Glad I am past that point!

We don't have a home phone either. We pay $60 a month for two cell phones which includes a lot of long distance (can't remember how much because we don't usually use it all). We're up to renew so hopefully they'll have better deals.

The only downside is that we have to have cable internet. We

both love the speed but it's $40 a month. So sometimes I wonder if we're really saving. But we would probably want cell phones anyway, it's the only easy way to get a hold of my husband at work, so at least we don't have to pay for a phone.

That is great news Wendy. I had to say I got rid of my cell phone 2 years ago and don't miss it at all.
