TGIF! We made it Ladies. Woo Hoo. The weekend is officially here :) What are your weekend plans?

Bud and I plan to do yard work and clean the garage much of tomorrow - I need to pull weeds and he needs to mow the grass. Tomorrow night we'll do our volunteer work as we do every Saturday. I think we're also going to finalize plans to go visit Portland to decide if we want to move there.

Have a terrific weekend everyone!

Whooo. What a week.

This weekend we're going to continue the work on the yard that we started last week.

We're mulching an area that our dogs have torn up. Grass just will not grow so

we're going to mulch it and start a rock garden or plant shrubs.

We're taking both of our moms out for dinner on Saturday night (so much better than

Sunday afternoon if you ask me). It's not going to be cheap because we're going

to need a dogsitter and a hotel. But it's worth it.

Yard work and Saturday night dinner out here, too.

I bought (with Lowes gift card) plants at lunch - pink impatients, white caladiums, pink caladiums, purple fountain grass, million bells, and nicotina. We have to mow tonight and plant tomorrow.

Saturday night we're taking our moms to a local steak house the whole family enjoys.

Happy Mother's Day

DD and I are going to the "Spring Fling" event at school. We'll start the day off at 7:30 am with a 5K walk then play the games at the booths. I bought tickets in advance $20 worth and got 5 extra tickets. I am going to try "not" to go shopping. I'm just not in the mood to blow the budget.

Hey Zaboz - Boy do I know about grass issues. Angel has managed to brown several neat circles throughout our lawn as she rotates her favorite places. I've got crop circles in my lawn :)

Have a great weekend!

Susan that sounds like so much fun! My school never did anything cool like that. AND you'll get great exercise in as well.

Hope you have lots of fun with dd.

Well I AM JEALOUS!!! Everyone talking about gardening, planting and mowing. For the past week it has been SNOWING almost everyday! Thankfully it isn't staying on the ground and melting almost as fast as it is falling. I think I will go out and shovel off my van! LOL ;-).

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

I am getting my garden ready, continuing to declutter my garage and basement. I plan to take a five mile walk and just hang out. I've been so busy for the past eight weekends and have a wedding to go to next weekend out of town so this one is for just bumming around!

I've heard that if you feed your dog a few tablespoons of tomato juice everyday

that it helps the grass burn. I don't know if it's true. Unfortunately, we have

grass burn as well as huge worn out patches. So hopeless!! I guess

that's the price you pay for having sweet little furry faces around!

When we bought our house two years ago the lawn was immaculate.

I hope the old owner never stops in for a visit. She'd probably fall over.

I just had to crack up at your last statement about previous owners!!! I feel the same way!!!!

They had a lawn service, etc.... and well we are too cheap to do that (not to mention we couldn't afford it anyway). So, it's ummm...not nearly as nice as it was. Plus they had a bunch of bushes that I pulled out and planted flowers there instead. Let's just say my flower garden hasn't been doing so great (this year has been especially bad...we had a nasty hail storm last night and some of the tulips didn't take too well to it. LOL!).

I could just picture them driving by at some point going "AACK...they ruined it". LOL!!

ROFLMBO!!! (and good thing they never want to see the inside with my 2 year olds *wonderful* drawings on the walls! *sigh*).
