my husband got approved for the credit card offer he received in the mail. it offered 0% interest until August 2004. the $30K we owe in cc, which was in a cc for 3.9% for the life of the balance has been transferred to the new 0% interest cc.

i'm so excited. i'm so positive that we will be able to pay off this balance by august 2004. after we get the cc debt out of the way, then i'll focus on paying off the student loans.

just wanted to share some good news.

That is great news! I thought your 3.9% was pretty outstanding, but it sounds like this is a much better deal for you. Congratulations! (Ok, that was strange-I'm congratulating someone on their credit card debt...LOL-good thing you know what I mean, huh?)

Good job and really do work hard now on paying it off because I don't know if the interest rate it goes to after the 0% is higher than 3.9 (I suspect it is), so you don't want to get stuck paying a higher interest rate than you did before! That will be good motivation for you though to make sure it's paid off. :)

It's nice when you can get a really good CC deal to help pay it off faster.
