I thought I was doing really good because I transferred

$500 over to savings yesterday. Well I forgot about a

$100 utility bill that will probably come out of our bank account today.

We SHOULD have enough but it's going to be tight.

As long as I haven't forgotten anything else.

I guess I still don't have a handle on our finances.

I'm glad that I saved the money instead of spending it

but it's still irresponsible. And because it was

transferred to ING I can't

do much about it right now.

I hope we make it without being overdrawn.

I thought those days were over. :(

I can so relate. I can't tell you the number of times I have done that. Luckily though I have overdraft protection on my checking account - well maybe it is not lucky cause I often use it as a crutch and need to stop doing that.

Hope it all works out for you.

Can you notify your bank that you may have transferred funds too soon, and ask them for a temporary overdraft protection or to at least notify you before refusing to pay the utility fee if it is too much?

I don't know if you have overdraft protection, but if you don't, giving the bank heads up *may* lead to them helping you this time.

just a thought
