Your wristwatch

Do you wear a wristwatch? What does the one you wear most look like? Do you have an interesting story about your watch? Did you buy your wach with debt? Do you collect them, or have you been wearing the same one for many years?
I have 3 watches which I received as gifts, one for my birthhday, one for Christmas, and one as a gift from my old job for being here for a milestone number of years. I wear the milestone watch when I dress up. It is one I really love. It is black and gold and is just beautiful. The watch I wear the most is an ugly, beat up, plastic digital one that I go for my birthday 3 years ago....I tend to clunk around, so it fits the bill...I won't feel bad if it gets destroyed, but it works well for me and all the things I do. The other watch is too small to fit around my wrist, so it sits in the box....I would get rid of it, but someone engraved it with my initals, so I can't really get rid of it yet.......
Your turn!

Before that I had a watch that was a gift from my parents. I think it's still at their house. I tend to wear only one watch for years.
This fall I will be buying a Baume & Mercier for FH bc he is graduating from med school (money is saved up already so no debt). He really wants a nice watch so I figured I would start his collection for him. Then when we get married I think I will give him my father's Rolex (I should probably ask my dad first though :) He just keeps offering it at random times so I think he will be ok with it).
It is an italian link watch with a big square pink face. Right now it has 6 charms on it. I have one that says "spoiled" with a heart, one that says"godmother", A picture of Van Gogh Starry Night, a Phanton of the Opera Charm, a brest cancer ribbon and an American Flag.
I dont think ill be getting anymore. I feel that all that is on there now pretty much represents me well. The only other one I want is a mom one.

Seriously, I haven't even owned one since high school, which was *cough* 15 years ago *cough*. Pretty much everyone else in the world owns one or has a cell phone, so if there isn't a clock handy, I just ask someone. Piece of cake.
I do have many clocks in my house, though. My friend makes clocks, and I have probably six clocks in my one-bedroom house. Sheesh! :)

Funny that you ask that, my watch serves as a constant reminder of my debt.
I bought it one day after a child support hearing.

My most recent aquisition is a silver stainless steel Fiori - simple but elegant enough for both daytime and evening.
I'm very proud to say it was bought with cash I'd saved up from my weekly personal spending money! And the price was excellent!

The first is a Seiko wind-up from like 1980. It still keeps great time and is my first choice.
I also have a watch/charm bracelet my dh gave me for Valentine's. All the charms including the watch face are heart shaped. I keep forgetting that it needs a battery and I should take it with me when I'm out and about.
My third watch belonged to my mother. It's a Hamilton I believe.I think they it has what they call a tank shaped face. She got it in the 40's. Back then receiving a watch from a guy was just a step below an engagement ring. Anyway, a friend of hers had bought herself the Hamilton. This friend then received a watch for Christmas from her soldier boyfriend. Naturally she wanted to keep the watch from the boyfriend so my mom got the Hamilton. When my mom passed, my older sisters didn't want it so I got it. It's my special occasion watch. Not that it's fancy, just very sentimental.
