I'm planning to make a collage from all your posts and keep it as visual reminder of how good being debt free feels!
Thanks, and BTW I've brought a bottle of Baileys and a Chocolate Rhapsody Cheesecake, enough for everyone :)

Favorite dessert that you've brought to celebrate with : Chocolate Cake (whats a party without cake?)
A favorite quote or inspirational saying: (after further thought:
Problems that can be fixed by money are annoying and discomforting, it is the problems that can NOT be fixed by money that are the PROBLEMS......but God handle everything.
And any sage advice you would have for us:
Mistakes are fine--the FIRST time you make them.....stupid the second time. Keeping this as a memorial is a cool way of saying...LETS NOT REVISIT THAT PLACE AGAIN!!

I'm ready to help you celebrate!!!

I brought an appetizer (my FABULOUS bean dip with cream cheese and melted cheddar on top) with some tortilla chips! I also brought MARGARITAS!!!!!!!
My favorite quote...completely unrelated to money...it's from a Queensryche song on the Operation: Mindcrime disk.
"The system we learn says we're equal under law
The streets are reality, the weak and poor will fall
Let's tip the power balance, and tear down their crown
Educate the masses, we'll burn the White House down"
I know...I know...I'm one of "those" people who really don't trust the government...at all...not even a little bit...
I also brought some ButterSchnapps. It goes soooooooooo well with Bailey's over ice!!!
Congratulations on being debt free!!!!! It's such an accomplishment and something to REMEMBER. Remember....those who forget history are doomed to repeat it!!! I KNOW you're not going to be one of those people!!!!
Tracie

Your favorite alcoholic/non beverage & dessert that you've brought to celebrate with :
any type of martini... perhaps lemon drop or Godiva choc mmmm...
A favorite quote or inspirational saying:
There's no such thing as a "free" lunch!
And any sage advice you would have for us:
Whenever I spend on frivolous things these days, I think of the opportunity cost. For example, what could I have invested in or paid down with those funds that I just spent.
Also, don't try to keep up with the Joneses by living beyond one's means. (eeks.. do I know this one all too well.)
Username: love2plan
Favorite drink and dessert: Strawberry Daquiri and a pan of Scotcharoos to share.
Quote: "Knowledge is power, and for each level of knowledge, you are held responsible for it."
— Gary Zukav
Advice: pay yourself first!
Your favorite alcoholic/non beverage & dessert that you've brought to celebrate with: Well, Diet Coke, of course, LOL! It goes well with lots of stuff.
For dessert, I've brought Krispy Kreme donuts. Not because I can't/don't bake, but because they are very good!
A favorite quote or inspirational saying: I have lots...
*"Be the Change you want to see in the world"-Ghandi
*"He who dies with the most toys is still dead"-a bumpersticker
*"Do good anyway..."-Mother Teresa
*"The Borrower is Slave to the Lender"- Dave Ramsey via the Bible
*"When you have to choose between what is right and what is easy,...always choose what is right"-Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
*"You are NOT YOUR DEBT"- Jerrold Mundis
Sage advice you would have for us:
Remember. Just remember. Remember the sinking feeling back when you started your journey, and how awful it all felt. Then, remember the utter and total joy and elation you felt when you got everything paid off. Now, which feeling would you rather live with?
Also, just trust yourself. Don't overextend, financially or otherwise. It's easier to make mistakes when you're frazzled.
Know that your worth as a human being can NOT be measured in dollars.
Congratulations!!!!!!!
~Lisa :)
Thanks!

"It is said that life has its peaks and valleys. The challenge is to accept them equally and experience them
I'm bringing a bottle of Graham's 20 year old tawny port wine and a Kahlua chocolate cake.
Right now, my favorite quote is "Life is not a dress rehearsal" that I heard on Dr. Phil.
The only sage advise I can give is from Suze Orman's show which is "People first, then money, then things...now you stay safe". Take care of each other every day and use money as a tool to ensure that.
Dion
BTW, I love the name Kassandra...it's my DD's name too! :)
