Credit Reports Haven't Arrived...
| Tue, 08-31-2004 - 5:26pm |
I mailed the applications for my free credit reports on August 4. I can see it taking a week each way in the mail, but the applications both stated on the bottom that I could expect to receive the reports in about 5-10 business days...
I ordered them from TransUnion Canada and Equifax Canada.
Would you be concerned if you were me?
I've started to wonder what a delay might mean...they SHOULD be good reports. I'm not expecting any surprises but now I'm getting nervous.
Thanks,
Rebecca

The delay is odd but it has nothing to do with the contents of the reports.
I would call the telephone numbers listed for each bureau to inquire on whether your request was received and if so why have you yet to receive them.

It's almost all R1. There's a couple of R0s on there...curious what the zero means but it comes with the comment that it's too new to rate though the accounts have been closed for 3-4 years.
There's M1 and M0 on there too. I think that's just monthly stuff for student loans.
It mostly all says closed per customer request;paid as agreed.
All the numbers are 1 or 0.
I'm pretty pleased; I couldn't see anything that I thought should be a cause for concern, although there is always the issue that I don't necessarily know what to look for.
Thanks for reading.

About the ones that you say are closed but yet list them as too new to rate...on the report do they say that they have been closed?
If not, then you would need to contact the creditors to ensure that you get them to list that the accounts are to be closed as per your request.
R0 means that the account is/was open but no transactions have occured or that again it's too soon to give a rating from 1 - 9 based on the limited transactions occuring.
