BOARD PARTY!!! AVALANCHE!!

Now, that I have your attention ;)
We need to have a board party to celebrate all the snowflaking people out there (even those that just lurk and are following along)....We have had several of us not even be able to get a snowflake out this year but MANY are no longer throwing snowballs - they are having avalanches at their debts.
The August total for the board is -
$102,606.51
Considering we broke the $100,000 barrier I say it's time for just a general celebration on the board!!

Although I no longer report snowflakes for the board totals as we managed to become debt-free earlier this summer, I still snowflake for the downpayment on a home we want to buy this time next year.
For those who are still fighting the good fight, be encouraged of your own efforts and the efforts of others on the board.
When you get serious about eliminating debt you'll see that positive changes will happen. It will take time for momentum to build and you surely experience setbacks along the road but know that you are investing in yourself and your future by getting rid of the debts.
I've brought a 30 yr aged bottle of Porto with a cheesecake. Enjoy :)

This is a fantastic board I am so glad I am a part of it. Keep up the good work!

Wow!
All my best,

To the party I bring a bowl of hot pasta salad with dried tomatos and white spicy cheese, and the one positive fact I would like to tell is related directly to that: I canmake a tasty, healthy and nutritious meal out of almost anything!
Greetings and keep up that avalanche!

Do you realize that if the average interest rate was 12% on that debt, paying that off has saved over $1000 for just THIS month in interest alone?! That's incredible!
If that debt had gone unpaid for another year it would have cost $12,000 more in INTEREST!
That is so awesome! Those credit card companies must HATE this board! ;)
Oh, I will bring homemade Egg McMuffins like the one I had this morning (.20 instead of $2.00)! I bought an egg and cheese sandwich from a coffee shop yesterday and it was $4!! I said ok, that's enough!!
