I have always been on top of my bills. I am 27 and i have a condo that is $500 . Well for the last 3 months i have been in overdraft. i catch up my overdrafts and fees and when it's caught up i have bills again. Okay my man's in jail so his calls are extra high! Right now i have a phone bill that's $233 and that's never happened. I have an electric bill for $280. That's a first too. I just found out the $500 i thought i paid for rent came back and i had no clue! So now i've got to pay rent. My landlord say i can wait till the end of the week till i get paid fri. That will take like most of my check leaving me $275. I wonder if i can make an arrangement for the utilities? Thank god we get paid 3 times next month. I need it! I hope that catches me up. I need to know what i can do to save and to catch up. Thanks!

I've personally never liked the overdraft concept and thus don't have one. Once you've paid the overdraft perhaps you may consider reducing it or eliminating it altogether, the interest rates are often very high.
Even if it's $25 - $50 a pay you should try to put aside something. As for the high phone bills, unless you are willing to cut down on the amount of calls then you would need to factor the higher bills into your expenses. Maybe you can also investigate a cheaper calling plan to alleviate the cost.
In order to get current many of us on this board have created and live by a spending budget by listing all our expenses, then seeing if it falls within our income. If it doesn't then you need to cut back on things or increase income and/or do both. If you need suggestions on how to do this let us know :)
I'm sure other posters will have suggestions for you. I hope this was somewhat helpful.
