First I took voicemail and call waiting off my home phone, then got the cheapest plan I could since I only want it there for emergencies (I use my cell phone most of the time and the bill for my home phone now is less than $14 per month). Then I got rid of cable tv (was $60 per month) and switched from cable modem to DSL (from $42 per month to $30 per month).
Now I'm trying to figure how to save on groceries and not spending any money at Target, Kmart or Walmart.
Going out to eat. Its totally gone at the moment and it sucks cause I'm craving chinese. I've also cut way down on cigs but that is good for my health not just my budget.
I stopped drinking pop and started drinking tap water.
I quit dying my hair.
I've cut down on renting movies and have decided not to rent until I have more of my debt down.
I started giving the kids and dh haircuts and not to bad at it even though at first dh walked around bald lol
Instead of taking his BDU's to get pressed, I just starting doing it at home.
Nothing to major but after I added it all, I'm saving over $100 a month that I put toward my payments. Every little bit helps.

I stopped buy things frivilously.

- cut cellphone and went to prepaid (cell for emergencies in the car)
- cancelled magazine subscriptions
- stopped buying lunches and cut down on eating out for dinner
- Reduced amounts spent on satellite/phone/internet
- Found all sources of cash leaks and cut our weekly allowance to a bare minimum and rerouted the found money to the debts
- Stopped the bi-weekly visits to the hairdresser to get my hair blown straight
- Brought down our grocery bill to $50-$60 a week for two people
- Stopped buying books (that was my biggest weakness) and now borrow from the library or friends
- created additional income using our talents (dh & I are singers)
Even though we no longer have debt, we still employ many of the same strategies, except we gave ourselves a raise on our weekly allowances :)
