I am happy to report that I made my final payment to American Express this weekend! Yay! Now I only have 3 more cards to pay off. Also, I got a notice in the mail on Friday that Citibank has increased my credit limit. Normally I would call them and say "No, thanks." but it turns out that this extra credit gives me enough leeway to transfer the balance from my Dell Computer account which is currently charging 17.5% interest... yikes! Now that I've transfered that to my Citibank card, I'm paying 0% until March 2005 and then it will go up to 7.9%... that's still a lot better than 17.5!!

I haven't decided if I'm going to cancel it or not. The interest rate is really good (7.9%) and I haven't felt screwed over with Amex like I did with Fleet and MBNA. I guess you could say that I don't have a vendetta out against them :) I'll probably end up keeping Amex and my Citibank Rewards card (also 7.9%).

Congrats, Kim. I transfer all my cc to one cc, which made me fell go. Now, I only have 2 cc, 3 loans, dds bill, & my loveseat to pay off. DDS bill & loveseat, should both be paid off by the end of the year. I don't have a 'target' debt after those two yet. I want to be debt-free by my 30 birthday ('09) & have a newer car (w/ no pymnts or low pymnts).

CONGRATULATIONS KIM!!

Good for you. I love those 0% interest offers. Because of it, our c/c balance went from $40k to $19K in a year.
