You're frustrated because it's frustrating to want something and not get it (being out of debt). But you are in good shape. The money you would have paid for the car can go to one of the other cards, and that balance will start decreasing faster now. Hang in there, you are doing it right.

Hang in there! It's a good sign that you're truly committed to getting rid of the debt even though it's taking you longer than you want.

Like the other poster said, you're in a good position and I'm sure you'll get rid of Chase soon enough :)

Keep up the good work!

Just keep thinking about how accomplished you are going to feel when you pay off that last bill!! Thats what keeps me going...We are all working towards a great goal. If it came easy, no one would ever be in debt.

Well, that there is what I call "fired up!" It's funny, isn't it, how this works?

When we started our 'shovel our way out of debt' journey (in summer 2002), I wasn't seeing very much progress, and it was frustrating as heck. When the tide started to turn our way (late 2003), it was exciting. It was spring 2004 when we were getting ready to blast Motley Fool, and were down to our last $800 or so to pay. patience was so not one of my virtues-it got to the point where I was SERIOUSLY thinking, "You know, if I can convince them to eat Top Ramen for a week, we'll have it done." (didn't happen, ROFL)

Congratulations for owning your car! How cool is that? Roll that payment over to the nice (term used loosely here) Providian people, and that one will be gone before you know it!

Yay, you!

Lisa :)

Lisa,

Chase is my target card and they are getting at least $1000 this Friday and another thousand next pay period at the end of the month.
