I feel so guilty

I haven't used my cc in over a month and was hoping not to use it again for a very long time. But today I had to sign up for dental ins (did it online) and they need an initial payment to complete enrollment. They needed a cc but from now on it will come out of dh's pay. I mean it was only $22 and I can easily add that to the money I normally send as a payment but I hate using my cc. But at least we got enrolled for dental now. I just hate that I had to use my cc. Blah!!

Look at it this way: Better to use your card -- and pay that extra amount -- AND have dental care than to have to pay for dental work and NOT have dental care. I personally think that is one of those rare, wise uses of a credit card. Especially since you say you can easily add that amount to your regualr payment. Think how far in the hole you'd be if you DIDN'T have dental and something major happened. :)

Yes I know. I need to look at it that way. I just wish I didn't have to use my cc. lol I was so hoping not to use that for at least the next 8 months. Oh well, it was for something useful so I shouldn't feel bad or guilty. Thanks.

Yes I do have a debit card but didn't even think about it. I haven't had it for very long and sometimes forget I can use it like a cc. lol Thanks for the reminder. ;)

Its good youre concerned but I dont think you should feel all that guilt. You took care of it and will pay it ASAP. There is a right way to use a cc and a wrong way. It sounds like you had to use it to get what you needed but your paying it right off. Youre doing the right thing.

Dont be so hard on yourself.

I agree w/other posters. Don't be so hard on yourself. It was just $22. You said you will pay it when bill arrives. BTW...it sounds like you had no choice to charge it. It was the way to get the service.

I think that's cool that you went so long without using them! Sometimes in the moment, it's harder to think 'creatively' about things like that. If you'd had time, I bet you'd have remembered your debit card, or figured something else out.

Maybe you're right to be concerned, thinking, "Well, I used it this once and got back on track, I can do it for this thing too." I know that's happened to us as well. A few times, LOL! But, what's done is done. "It's alllll goood" (one of my favorite saying when stressed or upset)

It's all good-really.
