Hi, I just found this board today and think it's wonderful. Our family is $25,000 in debt (ouch that hurt to say the number). We have alot of small debts (stupid financial mistakes we've made) as opposed to one large one. My aim over the next year is to pay it all off, bill by bill. My first one is my credit card, which is $1,800. I am going to go and join you all in the snowflaking section now, but thought I would introduce myself.

It's always quite a moment when you say that big number out loud. But-now that you've taken one of the hardest steps, it will get better from here! Not always good, mind you, because there are definte high times and low times, LOL.
I think you'll find that snowflaking/snowballing is awesome-once you get the momentum started, it's amazing the things that pop into place. When we started, I felt like we were never going to get out of debt. Somedays I feel like that still-but then I come here and it's all good!
