I think more important than how much debt someone has is what the debt to income ratio is. Two vehicles can easily put someone over the $50,000 mark but for a two income household with no kids this really isn't that much debt. Debt is all relative to income, and the bottom line is you have to bring in more than you spend. I have found this debt to income ratio calculator and would be interested in seeing what others debt to income ratio is. I will put it up on another poll.

Hey Darcy - we're a 2 income household with no kids, and having over 50K in cars or other debt is *definitely* a big deal to me and dh (that's why we're here).

All my best,
Danni

Our 2 car payments alone put us over $50K! Blechhhh! I can't wait until it is ALL GONE! Then I will be happy dancing!
