I am thankful for my twins, and my family. I am thankful for the roof over my head and the food on my table. I am also thankful that my husband has a steady job and good insurance.
Danni, I'm glad to hear that you're okay. Hope you're feeling less sore soon!
I have so much I am grateful for that I could be writing for awhile.
I share my life with a supportive and loving husband. I have an amazing mother and step-father and my hardworking, genuinely caring relatives; and my cat Piglet is priceless :)
I'm thankful for my full-time, well paid position with benefits that I enjoy doing and for dh's as well. Also having a nice appartment, car in good working order and never wanting for food. I'm so thankful for becoming debt-free this year and for the strength and courage we gathered to get it done together. I'm thankful for the talents and abilities I possess.
I'm most grateful to be alive, healthy and full of hope and promise for the future!
I am so blessed! I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving this year because I can't wait for an opportunity to gush about my blessings without everyone thinking I've gone off my rocker!! LOL So thanks for the early opportunity. :)
This year we bought our beautiful blue house with the gorgeous backyard and the awesome neighbors and all the space and we are so happy happy happy with our beautiful blue house!!! Our children are so much happier, we are so much happier. My eldest son has a place to ride his bike, and a swing set, and neighbor girls to play with. We are so much more relaxed and happy. We can hardly believe we were able to get into this amazing house. We've been here more than six months now, and the joy is still fresh!
Even more significantly, our second son was born this year and he is beautiful and healthy and funny and happy, and he fits our lives so well. He even sleeps well, which is more than I can say for my first! LOL He and his brother love each other so much and they love to play together.
My oldest son is still healthy and happy and growing so much and so well.
My marriage is better than ever.
Purely financial things I'm thankful for:
Although our purchase of a car turned into a fiasco, my very generous aunt gave us a car and we are now a two-car family again.
We have paid off a significant amount of debt this year, and are now less than $8,000 in cc debt, although we owe still more than $10 k to my Dad, and another $5 k in interest-free loans to family members ($2500 of that has been refused in repayment--my in-laws--so instead we are setting the money we would be paying to them aside and when it reaches the total amount, we are going to treat the entire extended family to Christmas in a cabin in the mountains. They can't turn that down!! LOL). We've also consolidated some of our cc debt onto a 0% interest card, saving us more than $60 a month in interest payments.
We are able to meet all of our obligations, have a small cushion in savings, and are even able to save for Christmas and other fun things. Because I shop so carefully (and have found a terrific salvage store), we eat really well on a very small budget, we are able to buy things like bicycles (at yard sales) and rubber boots (at yard sales lol) for our children.
I am SO BLESSED!!
And to think, three years ago we were in a rented duplex and packing up to go move in with family three states away, because we couldn't pay our bills.
I'm thankful for my jobs (both of them), thankful that I have good insurance, thankful that I have a home to keep me warm and dry (even though it's a rental). I'm also thankful that I just had a perfect mammogram, I've lost three pounds, and today I still have milk in the fridge. Most of all, and every single day, I am thankful for having a wonderful son who as an almost-adult (he's almost 20) will still hug me in front of his friends and has turned into the most amazing person, and thankful for a daughter who, at almost 16, would still rather hang out with her mom than any of her friends, who sings like an angel and is still my favorite movie date. I'm thankful, too, for my two fat cats. They love me no matter what kind of mood I'm in, how tired I am, and even if I accidentally kick them off the bed when I'm asleep.... and I'm thankful for great friends, fantastic family, and what little sanity I have left. Things get tough around here sometimes, but overall, life is good.
Compared to how bad things could be (in my imagination, especially), I've got it pretty darn good.
In hindsight, I'm even thankful for the bad stuff; if it doesn't kill me, it really will only end up making me stronger. But that's only in hindsight... LOL.

It can be done.
