littlesbigs got me thinking about giving and receiving...

We do so much running around this time of year, trying to find the "perfect" gifts for everyone else.

Have you given any thought about what *you* would enjoy receiving this year? Here's my wish list:

- contributions to my favorite charity (can't ever give as much as I would like to this gem of an organization)
- white cotton socks with scrunchy tops (casual but not athletic)
- blank journals, spiral bound
- subscriptions to the magazines I like to read
- new flannel pajama bottoms
- fancy nuts, cheese, or other 'pricy' low-carb treats
- houseplants (I have my eye on some live 'xmas tree shaped' rosemary plants at the grocery store...SO cute!!)
- full-spectrum light bulbs for every socket in the house
- real, not synthetic, essential oils (lavender and peppermint are my favorites)
- Martha Stewart pillar candles from KMart (white tea is my favorite)
- boxes of Celestial Seasoning's herb or fruit teas
- new bottle of Shalimar (I see they are now making a 'light' version of this scent that I would LOVE to try)
- G.C. to a music store so I can get the Cold Play Live double CD set I have wanted for well over a year, LOL!
- G.C. to Barnes & Noble...I always shop the used books, so any amount would go a long way
- a set of Fiesta in all different colors (at least one shade each of yellow, blue, green, and red) to replace my yucky everyday white Corelle
- bottles of Olay spf 15/unscented

Woo! This was fun and frivolous!! Try it and see how specific you can get!!!

All I want is for my daughter to be happy. She has done so well this past year+ with living one week at my house and the next week at her dad's house, and I know it's not always easy. She is a very special little girl. She will be with me on Christmas Eve until bedtime, and then with him the rest of the weekend. I will miss her but I expect she will have a very nice Christmas.

If I had to pick a second wish, it would be for myself and my family to be financially secure - which means buying fewer things and saving more. My step-dad just retired and my mom is on disability, so they don't need to be spending money. I have debt and need to pay it off and then start saving for a house. My family decided last year that we'd only do gifts for kids. My boyfriend isn't the gift giving type. So there is nothing on my list. I hadn't thought of buying myself anything. I was planning to get some books from the library to read over Christmas weekend, and maybe rent a movie, have some hot chocolate and enjoy the lights on the tree. That's it.

I really don't want anyone to get me anything. I don't want "things"...

I DO want a nice black cotton cardigan but I can't find one that's in my price range. That's something that I can get for myself, as it is something I could really use NOW to improve my sloppy, too casual wardrobe.

What I really want are strength and courage, and that is something that I have to find for myself...

That's not to rain on your parade at all; I had fun reading what you would like!

Ohhh I like this

1. Sizzix machine or ZipEMate (rather have the ZipE)
2. Dies to go w/ the machine
3. Anything else scrapbook related
4. One of those nice laundry bins on wheels at Target
5. Set of new silverware (had quite a few ruined w/ the garbage disposal)

That's all I can think of right now :)

My dh was asking me last night what I wanted for Christmas and I only came up with one thing:

A crystal tanzanite necklace - I saw the one I want at Swarovski.

That's it! So I'm hoping the dh actually heard and registered what I said and that I'll see it on my neck Christmas morning :)

I forgot to say this is my *fantasy* wish list (like writing a letter to Santa, LOL). I'm only sharing it here for fun (although I truly WOULD love to receive any item on it!!)
