Something NEW to Track...

On this board we frequently talk about tracking our expenses as a way to help us understand our spending/debting habits, to see where our money is going, to see what we spend our money on, etc...

Now, maybe you'll think this is crazy, but give it a shot: Try tracking the things you GET FOR FREE. I'm sure the list won't be as long as the spending list, but sometimes I think we do get something for nothing and don't notice it, appreciate it, realize it, or maybe don't want it.....but as you go thru your days, what do you get for free, or what do you consider free? Can you create a page in your tracking "note book" or what ever you use to note the things you get without working for it, trading for it, or whatever you consider to be the criteria for something to be FREE to you.

WHAT DO YOU GET FOR FREE???????

Do you consider a beautiful spring day free?
Finding coins in the street?
A gift from a friend or family member?
A piece of tissue in a public bathroom?
A ride to store from your friend?
A piece of pizza at the company pizza party? Dinner at Mom's? (Is there such a thing as a free lunch?)
A television show?
Free advice?

Depending on you define free, you may discover you are richer than you think.....this might sound like a stupid thing to do, but it'll give us something to think about or amuse ourselves with.

Happy accounting! Littlesbigs
