Hi everyone. I'm happy to say that our account is no longer overdrawn. Sure we borrowed money from DH's parents, but looks like some income came in as well. We depend on a billing company to collect our payments, but we're starting to do our own billing which will get rid of that whopping 8% the billing company is charging us monthly.
So what we did is DH had me create a document which contains all our home/business bills and lines of credit. This way it shows us how much we owe. It's extremely scary how much we owe to companies. I have to say my DH has too much pride to downsize to a smaller office, or even share. After having issues with his prior group, he said he would never want to work with someone again. So I began with this document, and then we're going to set short-term and long-term goals of stuff we want vs. what we need. We've been married 4 years and the only furniture we bought together was our bedroom set. The rest is basically bachelor furniture. In November when we thought everything was going great, we decided to purchase living room furniture with a credit line that has no interest and no payments until Sept. of 2005. So that's good. We can't stop the order b/c they're made as you order. You have 3 days from purchase to cancel the order. It's now 3 weeks so there's no stopping that. Now of course our washing machine broke and since it's 8 years old and no longer under warranty, we have to pay for any repairs. If it's outrageous, we may have to get another washer. I hope not!
But all in all, things are looking up. We're not spending foolishly.

I'm very glad things are looking up! Sounds like you're getting a handle on things. Those numbers all added up of what you owe people is terrifying isn't it? But that's always the first, and I think, the hardest step!
Good luck!
