Hi! I am putting up the big DSG holiday tree, and I need ornaments for it. Will you please help me decorate the tree? Please put some ornaments on it that represent where you want to go with your debt reduction plan, something that will inspire you for 2005. Or perhaps you want to decorate with an ornament that describes how 2004 went for you.
Don't be afraid to hang anything....if you want to hang a lump of coal or a diamond ring, go ahead.
I'll also offer you the option of putting a gift under the tree.....anything you want....let us know who the gift is for!
Please share....help make this an awesome tree!

I'm hanging a snowflake on the tree because until today, this year I didn't really have one! I'm hoping for more in 2005.
I am leaving a gift under the tree for all DSGers.....a little piggy bank to catch our change to help us save or create more snowflakes.
Hey....that was fun!

I'm putting the star on the tree, a symbol of hope and positive thinking for when we are down on ourselves about our situation and feeling negative and hopeless....a reminder that it is possible and we don't have to live enslaved to a piece of plastic. WE ARE NOT OUR DEBT!!!
Under the tree, I'm leaving everyone a gift certificate to a day at the spa with a full body massage. I sure could use one right now!!
cheers!

I like this...I haven't read any others so hope this isn't a repeat.
For the ornament, I want to put a light - which would represent "hope - light at the end of the tunnel".

Wow you guys are great, I'm not sure that I can come up with anything that creative.
I'm hanging a mirror- it reminds me to give up my pretensions, provides an accurate view of where I am and where I've been.
Under the tree I'm putting sneakers to remind me to stay on track.
Great ideas! I am putting ornaments on the tree cut out of my credit cards! I don't need them anymore, so rather than throwing them away I will make ornaments.
And under the tree I am putting $100 bills for everyone to do something just for you, not paying off debt or spending it on the groceries! You have to be totally indulgent for yourself!
Happy Holidays everyone!

deciding to be happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but that you had decided to look beyond the imp
My ornament is a lighthouse..
It's one of the things on the Dave Ramsey videos at the beginning, yes.
I used to live in Oregon, and would go to the coast frequently on my days off. There are plenty of lighthouses up and down the coast because during storms, the ships need to know what direction to go. That's what the whole Dave Ramsey thing has been to us-a guiding light.
For under the tree? Chocolate! That's always bound to make a eh day better. (It's an everfilling basket-take as much as you want!)

You know...I was walking by the tree and noticed your "everlasting chocolate bowl" (is that like the everlasting gobstoppers?) and decided to remove it from under the tree and stick it in the middle of the coffee table and plan on leaving it there for the entire year so as all of us are sitting around the table in the comfy chairs/couch giving support/encouragement/with a sprinkle of tough love, we can just grab a handful as needed.
I didn't hink you would mind. ;)

My ornament has a photo of a kid with braces on one side and a used Subaru Forrester on the other - those are the things I need to afford in 2005!
