The coat scenario actually happened!!

I left my warmest winter coat at a Solstice celebration Tuesday night--thanks littlesbigs! LOL Fortunately, it's not gone forever--it's at a friend's house, where the celebration was held, but she lives an hour away, so it will be at least a week or two before I get it back.

Fortunately, I do have my dressy wool coat to suffice in the meantime (I have finally donated my unused winter coats, so I can't resort to one of those), but I hate to use it on a daily basis, because I don't want to get it messed up (it has to be dry cleaned!). Still, at least I have something. And, right now, it's not cold enough for a winter coat anyway. Love the South!

Now, littlesbigs, stop planting these awful scenarios in our heads! You jinxed me! LOL Actually, I love all your thoughtful little posts that get us thinking and planning. It's good that I had already thought through the scenario, so I already knew how to handle it.

Blessings to all,

Heather

I'm sorry your coat got misplaced for a while...but I'm laughing about your comments to Littlebigs because I believe I was the one that got the misfortune of her "Fire Drill" becoming a reality last time.

Oh, Heather! You have me laughing at your silly scolding! Actually, I used to get bored driving a long start and stop commute to work, so I invented a game called "The What If Scenario." Basically, I'd just think about something that COULD happen and then figure out how many ways TODAY I could solve it. I wasn't just about money, but things like running into old beaus or how to reuse some stuff I had or how to fix things. The coat scenario actually came from an old memory from college where a friend lost his coat at a big party. It was new, the weather was cold, and he looked so pained when he realized it was gone.

No, I don't predict the future, but if I get you a-thinkin' and then some situation happens, then at least we're better equipped to handle it. Sometimes our life skills are forgotten, and we need to remind ourselves what we can do by being creative, educated, and prepared for some situations that may come along.

I will continue to post my questions/challenges. I am very interested how folks think. (And esp. how they think when it comes to money matters.)

Best wishes,
Littlesbigs
