My favorite sandwich has always been Peanut Butter and Jelly, and with a young son at home, I never run out of the makings for that. LOL! :-D

I'll be packing some sandwiches and other goodies tomorrow morning for a "dinner in the car" tomorrow evening as we head home from karate practice.

I'm taking leftover stroganoff, applesauce, some broccoli and cauliflower, a pop bottle filled with my OJ, and maybe some pudding!

I'm taking an egg salad sandwich, chips, snack cake, fruit cup and a soda. Probably not the most nutritious lunch but I have to wean myself slowly :) I start back to work fulltime tomorrow for the first time since October 2003. Gotta get back in the swing of things.

Well, I don't have an official date for starting back to work. However, I have been thinking about this topic. Some of my lunch fixings that I already have are:

- various canned soups
- 3 frozen meals (like Budget Meal type things)
- carrots
- hummus and chips
- very small package of smoked salmon to finish
- various types of chips
- snack packs of raisins
- mini candy canes for the sugar cravings
- 4 packages of granola that each hold 4 or 5 large servings
- tuna sandwich fixings
- egg salad fixings

Plus we have ingredients to make cookies, brownies and other treats. I am also taking a package of ground Starbucks to stick in my locker. Before I go back I am also going to pack a bunch of snack packs of raisins and portion out several servings of granola, a bunch of candy canes and I'm going to stick it in a box in my locker at work so I always have something available even if I forget my lunch at home.

I also realized I have tons of stuff for ds's lunches for the next several weeks. The only items I really need to buy (ok, want to buy...) are a bulk package of single serve applesauce, flat of Gatorade, flat of juice boxes for ds's lunches and flat of soda. The sodas and Gatorades will go in my trunk so I can grab one or two before going in to work. If I keep the soda and Gatorade in the house I drink through them really fast. If I just don't buy them then I spend a fortune at the vending machines at work.

Tomorrow is a stat holiday, so technically, we don't work. Fi is going into the lab, so he'll take a snack. (He has a few things there in case he forgets). I am working, but I'll come home for lunch. My sister is taking me out to dinner tomorrow night.

Tomorrow night we are going to the store for groceries. We'll get:

ingredients for stew
bread for sandwiches
flour for baking
juice
and a couple of 'treats' for Thursday

It all has to cost $20 or less, because we have a gift card.

Well, since I work weekends, I brownbagged yesterday and today. Yesterday, i brougt leftover pizza. This morning i went shopping, so for dinner today, i had a chicken salad with yummy French dressing, and rice with cinnamon sugar and milk. I ended up eating my salad on my first break, and the rice for dinner, but it worked out great. I felt good eating something other than junk food for a change! If I manage to cook on a regular basis, this won't be too hard. Otherwise, I'll starve!!!
