Well, I go back to work Wednesday after a month of medical leave. So, here is my plan:

Weds: turkey sandwich, granola, vanilla coke, chips, candy canes, carrots
Thurs: soup, granola, vanilla coke, chips, candy canes, raisins
Fri: turkey sandwich, granola, vanilla coke, chips, carrots
Sat: soup, granola, vanilla coke, chips, raisins

Do you see a pattern? :) I bought the coke today and stashed it in the trunk of my car so I can't drink it all at home. I also bought turkey today but otherwise I have everything at home. I'm stashing extra granola, candy canes, snack packs of raisins at work in my locker. Plus I always take a refillable water bottle from home.

I "brown bag" it everyday. I don't actually even use a brown bag. I recycle my yellow shoprite bags and use them as lunch bags. I can actually get a few uses from one bag.

I ate breakfast at home:
Shoprite Oatmeal w/milk, and cut up stawberries(on sale) and bananas (also on sale).....
1 cranberry muffin...made a dozen last night....yum
Coffee...made at home of course..

Lunch:
Little whole wheat lo-carb wrap with turkey and cheese
Small Salad w/bleu cheese
1 Clementine
1/2 grapefruit
Baby carrots
Water from water cooler

YAY for you!

Mine first day of brownbagging-
Breakfast:
multigrain bagel (toasted) and brown sugar cream cheese (so yummy!!!!)
Pepsi

Lunch:
greek/italian salad- romaine lettuce, spinach, salami strips, pepperocinis, feta cheese, burgandy olives and greek dressing (kept at work).
Another Pepsi

Snack:
Butterfinger minis hiding in my drawer

Water for the rest of the day and granola bars to tide me over if the salad wasn't hearty enough. Also have some potato salad in the fridge here this week since no one eats it at home and I got it free as part of a meal deal.

I'll wean myself back on the Pepsi eventually...

I think we are all doing really well with this and it is much easier when we are all supporting one another.

Yesterday I brought my lunch, actually I stocked up over the weekend on all kinds of things I could keep in my desk. I had this pasta dish that you add water to and microwave, it was HORRIBLE!! But I did eat about half of it and thought about running out to get something that would taste better, but I resisted! I threw it away and ended up making some popcorn later in the afternoon to hold me over until dinner.

Today I had leftover pizza from the dinner I made last night. I had never made pizza before, but thought I would give it a try. It turned out really well and so I brought the rest of it in for lunch today.

I am really enjoying bringing my lunch and knowing that I am eating better and saving money, what a bonus.

Hope you are all doing as well with this!

Happy New Year!
