Are your holiday bills starting to roll in? Are you prepared for them? What are the bills for? Do you have a plan for paying them?

If they have not rolled in yet, are you dreading the walk to the mailbox? Are you worrying about how much they are?

Or are you expecting none?

I have been watching the news which has been reporting a lot this week on debt, and they keep talking about those holiday bills rolling in now and how much they could be.....so I was wondering if any of you have been dealing with them yet and how you feel about them.

Thankfully this year I will not be having any holiday bills rolling in, I was actually able to pay cash for everything. Definitely a first for me! I hope that is the case for most of us on here because it feels incredible. I actually enjoyed Christmas this year, probably because I wasn't thinking of the bills that usually follow!

Happy New Year to all DSG'ers, may this be our fiscally best year yet!

deciding to be happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but that you had decided to look beyond the imp

None for me this year - I paid cash or charged on-line purchases for which I had the cash to pay for the items immediately.

All my best,

This holiday season was the BEST! This is the FIRST year EVER that we didn't use CCs. So no post-holiday doom & gloom for us. I am still amazed at how my stress level and debt mirror one another. This year no debt, therefore, no stress. Woo Hoo! DH and I are realizing the bondage debt had on our lives. I LOVE THE FREEDOM

We don't have cc's, so there are no bills coming perse, but we overspent on Christmas, so we are now faced with making ends meet this month.

We have no holiday bills at all because we paid for all of our presents with cash.

I was able to pay all cash for holiday gifts :) Luckily my family agreed on cutting the excess this year and making it more about quality time so we were not allowed to spend very much on each person.

It was great, it made the reason for the season much better. And you really had to put alot of thought into what you gave each person and you appreciated what you got because you knew that person did the same for you.

So no extra bills rolling in this month :)
