Just a suggestion and take it for what it is worth. I noticed that you said you didn't brown bag again because you were in a hurry to get out the door. I am not participating in the brown bag challange because I am a SAHM. However, DH has started brown bagging it for work--because he only has 15 to 20 minutes to eat with his schedule, not for monetary reasons. That is just a side benefit.

The easiest way for us to do it is to pack his lunch the night before. I make a sandwich, throw in a soda, chips and an apple, put it in his soft-sided lunch box and put everything in the fridge. That way all he has to do in the morning is grab the lunch box as he is going out the door. He takes a sandwich because he has no microwave at work and no place to keep leftovers cold. However, you could package leftovers from the previous night's dinner, put it in whatever you are going to use to get it back and forth to work and grab and go the next morning. Include everything you would need to eat it (fork, spoon, etc.) and whatever snacks, desserts, drinks, etc you need and you are all set.

I fully understand about needing a shovel. You can't live in the north without one. Heck, I live in Kansas right now and after today's ice/snow storm, I know I NEED one, I just can't get out to get one.

Good luck and keep driving on.

Hey Heather,
Where in WI are you? So far we've been lucky. We're in West Bend and haven't seen any of the snow (yet)
