Well, I told DH and he was totally great!! I explained everything to him and he was worried about me keeping everything to myself and thought it was his fault why I didn't come to him sooner. He knew I wasn't buying stuff on the credit card that wasn't necessary.

What a great husband I have and what a relief!!

Thanks to everyone who posted.

WOOHOO!! Good for you!!! You took a BIG step towards getting out of debt by telling your DH about your finances, and I am so thankful he took it well. From this point on, you'll likely find that by working as a team to reduce your debt, your relationship will get stronger and stronger.

That's how it's been with my DH and I since I told him about our credit card. He took it well, and now that we're working as a team, our relationship is much stronger. I grew up watching my Mom and Grandmother keep secrets from their husbands, and the saying, "Don't tell Dad" was a frequent one in our household. I suppose that's why I kept secrets as well....but IMHO, life is soooooo much better without any secrets. :-D
