software for budgeting

would like to hear peoples opinions on software i could use for budgeting/creating/tracking/ I have had quicken in the past but read some review that werent excactly glowing. I have access to my bank accounts directly through their software and there are no fees with it ( unlike using quicken for it) but i would like to be able to use it for credit card updates, fidelity 401ks and stuff. I was wondering about msn money but also read not so glowing reivews on that
so i am not sure which way to go or if there is other software out there i havent considered

You probably want something more sophisticated than Excel, but I have a file I use for balancing my checkbook, planning bill payments based on when my paydays are, budgeting, analyzing my spending habits and my debt repayment plan. Here is a link to it if you are interested:
