I was looking forward to this weekend earlier in the week, but then it got loaded up with activities, and now practically every moment is planned out, and the goal seems to be to try to avoid pulling out the credit card to get everything done....I didn't get a big paycheck this week since I was sick and I missed time due to the weather. I've got very little left of this check, but we'll see what happens.

I had to go to the mall this evening to pick up my new eyeglasses...I walked around the mall to get my eyes adjusted to the new lenses before I had to drive home in them. I just didn't feel the urge to buy anything, didn't want anything...I walked around for 15 minutes, looked in a few windows, and was happy to head home. I enjoyed the walk more than anything else.

I'm going to try to organize more of the papers I have stacked up before I go to bed tonight as part of my organization of the house project...Last night I emptied my purse of 4 months of reciepts, and I was amazed how light it felt afterwards. I hope my house feels as light after I get more reorganized and purged here. I really hope so.

Congrats on not buying anything. I hope you don't have to use the cc this weekend. I like to see how long I can go without using them cause the longer I go the less I know I will want to or feel the need to rely on them in the future. Good luck!

I know what you mean. It's a three day weekend for us, but I'm already $45 over budget for this paycheck. Yesterday I had to go grocery shopping and instead of $100 I figured I could only afford to spend $70 and I managed to do that! But dd needed some new shoes so that was an extra $10 which is what got me to the $45 over budget. DD has birthday party to go to today and it's a dress up party, so I had to buy her an outfit for it on top of the gift, otherwise I would not have been overbudget at all. Today I need to stop and get a bag and a card for the birthday so I'll be at $50 over. I really wanted to do something fun on Monday like ice skating but I figured we are over budget we are not going to do anything that costs money. We have plenty of toys and arts/crafts so we will just do that. We can go ice skating another weekend when I have the cash for it.
