deciding to be happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but that you had decided to look beyond the imp
I am still trying to figure out what holiday everyone is on!
Him: 2 meat and cheese sandwiches, 2 hardboiled eggs, a banana and an apple. Something tells me this is not enough, so I'll be going early to pick him up and bringing him something.
Me: yoghurt parfait (ick! I made it myself, and we bought low fat yoghurt by accident - normally this is yummy)
and spahetti later, because I am making up a pot for him to take for lunch Thursday.
I was in a rush this morning and didn't take my shower OR pack a lunch last night, BUT I did grab- two yogurts (haven't eaten either yet), some deli potato salad, and 3 sticks of string cheese and a box of granola bars.
I've had 1/2 pound of the potato salad, a granola bar, cookies that someone put in the kitchen and 2 string cheese. NO MONEY SPENT!
But I will do better tonight so I can have a more balanced lunch tomorrow...
For the poster in Canada, today was Martin Luther King Day, who was active in the equal rights/ black rights movement in America. :)
I never officially replied to any of the brown bag posts, but I'd like to say that I bring a bag lunch every day! It's easy for me, cause I work at an elementary school and no one "goes out" to lunch. BUT we do have a vending machine, which I do not use (yay me!) and also every Friday a lot of teachers order out and have food delivered, and I never do that. So I am feeling proud of myself. :) We are also able to order a school lunch if we want, which is $2.75 but none of the lunches look good enough to order. I do lunch duty every day, so I would know! My kindergartener brings cold lunch to school, because the hot lunches don't appeal to him either. :)
