In the past week, I got 2 shut off notices...one on the cable, one on the long distance phone. I had paid those bills thru the electronic bill paying systems thru my bank last month, but for some reason, the payments didn't get posted to my accounts, so of course, I am having it researched, and I am just upset becuase I had to rescue myself to catch up for now using my emergency fund which has already been hit this month for other things. UGH!!!! Just getting those shut off notices was a pain and upsetting.

I'm so sorry you got those notices. What makes it more annoying is that they arrived at a time when your bank wouldn't be open to figure out their mistake (weekend). I hope they can figure this out fast for you on Monday morning. In the meantime, can you reach your cable company to explain what happened? It might be difficult to reach a long distance company on a weekend, but some cable companies are staffed on weekends.

Hugs,
Pat

I know how you feel. One time the electric company submitted their bill five days early to my bank. That caused our overdraft to go into effect which put an automatic $100 charge on our visa. After I called and chewed the electric company out, they said it was their policy they could submit bills up to a week in advance and I just needed to make sure I had the money in the account. I would but, they submitted the bill to the bank before they sent me my copy. I took it off bank draft and paid in person from then on.

Must be Murphy's law that this happens when you can't call and talk to anyone.

Good luck,
Kellie
