$2031 paid off today - $1000 to go!
| Mon, 01-24-2005 - 2:22pm |
I hope you ladies won't mind if I brag a minute. This morning, Dh and I paid off $2031 in debt -- $1531 in medical bills and $500 off of the gasoline card (the whole balance). Wow! I feel so relived! We have less than $1000 to go on one last card, and then...we'll be debt-free except for our mortgage! I never thought we'd be this close! We'll be debt-free by the end of next month. We thought we'd be there by now, but life is what happens as you're busy making other plans, as they say. I thought I would share this and let those of you who are struggling know that it CAN be done! It's not easy, but it's so worth it!
Best wishes to all of you,
Elizabeth

Hey congrats!!! And good work on all your hard work. It will all pay off (literally :) soon.
Way to go!!!!
Good for you. I'm sure you guys are all dancing the happy dance.
That's terrific news. BTW....no, I don't feel like you're bragging. That's what this board is for. The good, the bad and the ugly.

What TERRIFIC news!! I'm so glad you shared this. It makes me much more hopeful that I will get my debt paid off too. Congrats! :-D
How long did it take you to pay off all your debt, in total?
Pat
yahoo!!! thats awesome!! are you going to call into dave ramsey and scream "we're debt free!!" (i,personally, can't wait to do that!)

Thanks for the encouragement, Pat. In response to your question, it will have taken us about 13 months to pay it all off when we're done next month. We had about $10,000 in medical bills and credit cards. We've cut our spending pretty severely in order to accomplish this, but it is SO worth it! Hang in there! If we can do it, so can you!

WOW! Good for you! What progress!
