What conviences would you pay more for?

I am just curious. In our quest to become debt free, a lot of you have posted cost saving tips and others have asked how to cut costs. I am just wondering are there times when you would pay what you know is more for an item or items, just because it is more convinent to buy it where you are? For example-I had to pick up a couple of items at the grocery store today. I remembered I was almost out of baby wipes and even though I know the store half a block down charged less than 50% the cost, I went ahead and paid the extra. Let me add, I also had my 5 year old and my 2 year old with me and just didn't want the hassle of putting them back in their car seats, drive to the next store, get them out, get the one item I needed, put them back in the car, etc. Are there times you feel like that or am I the only one.

Another instance I can think of right away is gas prices. DH is military so we already pay a reduced amount for gas (not much since individual states stopped waving military paying state gas taxes). But, we live on the border of two states right now. I could drive 3 miles out of my way and save at least 10 cents a gallon, but the convience of not is just too tempting. I will say, if we know we are going across the state border for shopping or dining or doctor's appointments, etc, I will wait and fill up. Or, if we are returning from a trip, I will stop and fill up before we cross the state line.

I was just curious if sometimes convience outweighs savings, or is this what retailers want us to think, so it ends up costing us more?

Thanks for any input.

I pay more for organic foods, and I think it's worth it. I still have cut my grocery budget just by paying attention to what I buy.

I buy gas whereever it's more convenient.

I just bought a car because have safe, reliable transportion was more important than getting out of debt sooner. I did find a couple things I could cut in my budget to help make up the difference.

I pay to go to therapy since shortly after I separated from my ex. My emotional health is worth it.

Honestly, I would pay for all that would make my life easier. I would love to buy a car, but the ignorance of youth left me with bad credit and the ignorance of adulthood left me with debt; so my commute to work has been a nightmare, especially during the winter.

The one thing I would definitely pay to have some one do and have looked into it and can't find a service provider is some one who would pick up my laundry, wash it, fold it/hang it, and bring it back. I hate going washing.

I would also pay some one who would cook for me. I tried Seattle Sutton, but their food is too bland. But if I could talk the lady downstairs to make lunch and supper for me would be great; maybe I should ask her. Her cooking smells wonderful, and I'm stuck eating take our or pizza.

Yes, I am lazy; I have come to terms with it.

Dragging my kids from store to store is a big reason why I will pay more for something. I try to plan my route or days to save that money, but I'm not going to say 2 or three didn't stores to buy food just to save a little bit of money. I'm also kinda lazy in that sense too.
