For those of us suffering from credit card debt...........

What if credit cards came with a warning printed on them just like the Surgeon General's warning message on packs of cigarettes? Would that affect your spending/charging habits in any way? (Do you write little messages on your credit cards sometimes , like I do!, to prevent yourself from charging the totals back up?)

Just curious...............Littlesbigs

Since I consolidated I have zero balances on my cc's :) BUT...before to help me not use them I would always have a mini-post it note with the current balance on each one ~ that was a BIG FACTOR in not using them. Seeing that # right there on it made me say "no way" each time I even thought about it!

I wish ITEMS had that warning. Like, do you REALLY need to buy this or are you just having a bad day, if it's the latter, than put it down and back away slowly OR YOU'LL BE IN DEBT FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS. LOL.

I have a post inside my check book that I look at any time I open my wallet that shows my total balance of all debts! That really makes me think twice about spending any money!

deciding to be happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but that you had decided to look beyond the imp

LOL no but then again I smoke so the Surgeon General's warning doesn't work for me either. :) I just tell myself how much better it will be and how I will be able to afford things WITH CASH once I get myself out of debt. I really don't have too much longer so I think that helps.
