Our vacuum has been on the "almost dead" list for over a year now - and each time it was "almost surely dead", we managed to revive it (when you're sticking your broom handle down the suction hose to clear massive dog hair clogs on a weekly basis...the end is near).

All my best,

Don't keep us in suspense! What kind of vacuum and who had the best deal?

I was just going to ask the same thing!! I am rough on my vacuums~ we've replaced so many! But it truly is a neccessity, something no one should feel guilty about buying!

Oh - sorry - didn't realize that part was relevant! :)

We got a Hoover Windtunnel Ultra, self-propelled, blah blah blah.

LOL - I want one of those Roombas - the little robotic vacuums that you set loose and it just runs around your house and vacuums for you! It has sensors to avoid walls, furniture, and even stairs. Hee hee... I think they're cute. :)

But I know they are probably crap - anything that small can't have much suction power - and I doubt they would do much against heavy duty dog hair (been there).

LOL - that's so funny! I could just picture my mom's dog barking her fool head off at the thing! My cat on the other hand would probably just watch it until it came within two feet of her. :)

I saw one in a store a few months ago for only $250 (Cdn). Not a bad price for something so high-tech, plus our current vaccuum is about ready to give up the ghost. The compulsive spender in me was tempted, but I resisted. LOL.

Hey- Don't bother with those things. I bought one at Walmart a few months ago and returned it a couple days later. It was junk. Didn't suck up anything, even on the kitchen tile. Sounds great though, doesn't it?1?!
