I sure don't like waiting....

I just e-filed my taxes tonight with Turbo Tax, and they say I have to wait 24-48 hours for the IRS to accept my return. Gosh, I just hate waiting. LOL! I'm normally don't feel paranoid about things, but each year at tax time, I just start wondering, "What if the IRS finds something wrong? What if they reject my return??". Up till now, they never have. The worst they've ever done is sent me a note saying that my child credit was a few hundred off last year, so they were adjusting my tax refund by that amount...and that my check would be on it's way. No problem.

Once I know my returns (Fed and State) have been approved, I'll be able to relax and just wait for the money to arrive. It's just the waiting that's hard. :-D

Anyone else waiting now for their approvals? :-D

Pat :-D

At least your ahead of me. I'm ready to file but Taxcut doesn't have the state download ready yet!! Their website says it is. I'm so mad at them I usually have our refund by now. If I file the federal without the state, I lose out on the refund of the filing fee.

Sure wish I would have known about all the free filing places.

Mine was rejected twice this year! LOL I had put in our last years adjusted gross income wrong TWICE. I was so mad at myself! But it finally got accepted and now I'm in the worst possible part of the waiting - waiting for the actually money!!

And I get nervous too. Not that I've done anythign wrong on the refunds but I always get nervous with stuff like this!

I hope your refund comes fast :)

I totally know what you guys mean! I have been going out my mind for the last week! I
e-filed on the 22nd of Jan. It was accepted right away the next evening. But I have been stressing the whole time ever since. Waiting sucks so bad! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning or something. I worry that I screwed up on something even though I checked for errors. I keep thinking what if they don't allow one of my deductions then how long would that delay it. I hate to even think about that! What's worse is that I already got my state refund back and I e-filed that at the same time as my federal! That makes me even more nervous! Well, hope everyone including me, gets a speedy refund!

I'm the same way. I'm so afraid of getting audited although I don't know why cause we use the EZ forms and how could you possibly screw those up. We have our W-2's and that's it. No other income, we don't itemize, nothing extra. Just straight up taxes and I'm always nervouse too. I guess it the big bad gov't! :)

I just got my W-2's yesterday. Luckily, my taxes are easy to do since I"m single and don't own a house or business. I can telefile them. My goal is to have them done this weekend so I can get it over with. I always procrastinate and end up paying the day of. This year I vow to do better!

cheers,

I e-filed last night and am still waiting for an acceptance. I don't anticipate a problem, I just can't stand waiting either! Once it is accepted, we will be in for another wait for our money, which will be even harder for me!

I already got mine. I got my Federal in about a week and 1/2 and my State within a few days. But, I know what you mean on the waiting part. I do this every year also but never have had a problem.
