Well I wasn't around yesterday or too much this weekend and it looks like the board was busy! I have A LOT of catching up to do and trying to respond so some new threads. I'll try to catch up later on this evening, you guys are gonna keep me busy, lol :)
Ok I'll try to do a reader'd digest version.
Headed to the hosp. for DH's 1st procedure yesterday afternoon. They DID find quite a few ulcers and some kind of hernia in his esophogus (sp?) ? I didn't even know such a thing exsisted. I was VERY surprised that they didn't ask me for payment up front again, after my convo. with the billing dept. I guess they thought they'd met their match! So THAT was a good thing. I'm still dreading what the final bill will look like as the Dr. did take a few biopsies to get a better idea of what could be causes the ulcers at least.
On topic...the meds the Dr. prescribed cost me 45 dollars (OUCH!) and this is with really good insurance...Apparently w/o it's well over $160 :( eeak! I hope he doesn't have to be on it too long or that there's a cheaper alternative.
On another note... DH did our taxes on Turbo Tax on Sat. it said we OWED 200 or something like that!!! DH swears he's doing something wrong - as he feels we should really be getting a refund back, and he's thinking of possibly paying an accountant to look into it since he thinks we have deducttions he's not doing right. He's also thinking that maybe we should file seperatly. Has anyone done that, married filing seperatly??? Are there any advantages? I really don't know too much about that.
I hope he is wrong and we either break even or owe very little - since as it is I don't know where we're going to find the $ for DH's hosp. bills, AND that. And I had to cancel my dentists appt, this morning to do a new crown since I just can't afford it right now. I think they're p.o.'d at me since this is the 3rd time I've put it off. Oh well.
Hope everyone is having a nice Tuesday so far, it's back to work for me now :)

You can tweek around with Turbo Tax and see what the difference will be, but I think that you need to provide documentation that you are separated to do 'married, filing separately'. Don't take my word for it, so check it out.

Here is the info that I copied from my tax preparation software regarding 'married-filing separate':
Married filing a separate return means that you and your spouse report your income and expenses separately, on two different federal tax returns. Typically, filing separate returns results in a higher overall tax bill than filing a joint return, so most people who were married as of December 31, 2004, will choose to file a joint return.
