Any eBay advice????

I am thinking of selling stuff on eBay and I have no idea where to start. I haven't ever bought anything on there and obviously haven't sold anything. I have tons of stamping stuff that has never been used, probably in the upwards of 800 stamps and sets and I was thinking that this would be a good help to paying off my debt. I also have lots of Madame Alexander dolls. Does anyone have any advise on what I can do to help with my sales? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

deciding to be happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but that you had decided to look beyond the imp

My advice would be start on half.com. It is run by ebay but no bidding involved. You simply list your stuff for sale in the correct category and wait on people to buy. They give you a shipping allowance and you mail it out the next business day after someone has bought it. Once you feel comfortable with half.com, then you can switch to ebay if you want. That's my plan. So far I have sold 5 books on half.com. I check once or twice a day to see if I have any sales and let them do the rest. No constantly checking to see how the bids are going, no listing fees, no expiration either. You can leave something listed as long as you want on half.com.

HTH, good luck,
Kellie

P.S. Half.com will also suggest if something should be listed on ebay. If it doesn't sale on ebay, you can then go back and relist on half.com.

I sold a few items on eBay way back in 1999-2000. It was a whole different world back then! LOL.

I believe you can do online tutorials with eBay. Just go to the main page and there should be links. They are free. The first thing I would do is take pictures of all your items. Bidders don't even look at auctions without a picture anymore. If you know some basic HTMl tags you could make your listings more appealing too.

Starting out at half.com sounds like a good idea too. I've been eBaying for years and I'd never even heard of it!
