Where does your snowflake money...

Where does your snowflake money come from? I love hearing about how everyone is snowflaking on their Target card. But my question is where is the extra money coming from?

Am I right that a snowflake is what you pay above and beyond whatyou have budgeted to pay for that month? So if i have a yardsale (having one Saturday) and use that money toward my target card, I am snowflaking right?

Hopefully this makes sense! LOL

I've gone to paying for everything except bills in cash.

My snowflakes are anything above the normal required minimum payment on my three remaining debts. When we paid off our car at the end of 2004, our $407 car payment amount became a snowflake. When I go to the grocery store and use my little frequent shopper card and save a certain amount of money (whether it be $2.00 or $15) under what I had budgeted, I earmark that money towards my accounts. Also, when I make my budget for each paycheck, and let's say I budget $140 for natural gas....and the bill comes in at $135, the saved $5 becomes a snowflake. :-D

It's lots of fun to watch the snowflakes add up. :-D
