Hi. DH was turned down for a Capital One credit card (boy am I happy about that). The letter that was sent said he "can request a full disclosure of the nature and substance of all the information in the agency's file and to dispute the accuracy etc. You may obtain a free copy of your consumer file for a period of 60 days form the letter."

My question is who is he requesting the information from? Capital One or one of the credit agency's (they give the 3 addresses and names as well in the letter. we want to check it out.

Thanks for your help.

Write to the credit reporting agencies with a copy of the refusal letter. That should get you a free copy of your credit report.
