remembering to bring your lunch? I have been doing really well so far this year, I have only bought lunch twice all year! Today I am going to get to the sandwich shop for lunch, I have a free sub coming! Yeah! I have been craving my turkey and avocado sandwich for awhile and since I have a free one coming, it's as good as brownbagging! Hope you are all still doing well with this challenge. I know I have been able to snowflake a lot of extra money to my targeted card and am excited to see that balance going down by so much every month!

Congratulations, you are doing so well! I did not start the challenge, however, I did come home for lunch today and I am enjoying my chicken and dumplings. It's so much better the day after. I am learning to make "bigger" meals so that we have left overs for lunch the next day.

I did not know that there was a brown bag challenge, but DH and I have been doing this for the past month. We have saved quite a bit, but we do allow ourselves a treat now and then!

It was something that was started in January and carried over into February, but I haven't seen much about it lately, so I thought I would just bring the topic up again and see if everyone was still doing it. I am, and I am really enjoying it. I usually make a little extra at dinner time and bring leftovers for lunch the next day. I also put lots of snacks in my desk drawer so I can avoid the vending machines and such. This has really helped me have days were I spend no money at all.

I've been doing very well considering I used to go out to lunch almost every day. I'm not snowflaking the money, but we're staying in the grocery/food budget now instead of going WAY over...

I didn't know about the challenge either; what a great idea!

I eat my lunch at home every day after I walk the dog. Today I had such a craving for pizza, and since there are only three of us here in the office, and we're going through lots of icky files, my boss suggested that the office would pay for pizza today! yippee!
