Trying real hard not to spend money this

weekend. Whether its going to the mall or just running around the neighborhood stores, I am ALWAYS spending money on the weekends. Little purchases add up and before I know it $200 is gone in a weekend and I wont remember what I spent it on.

I might take DD to the dollar theatre to see a movie and bring our own snacks instead of the big theatre. Im not going to Target "just to get out of the house". I might go to the library, though.

My goal is to not spend more than $20 all weekend long.

Wish me luck!

A coffee shop is a good way of killing time and still feeling like you did something.

I second the coffee shop idea.

Well, I didnt spend any money at all. DH did. He got $40 in cash out in addition to the $8 he already had in his wallet. Now he has $6 left. He spent the money on a movie with DD ($12.50 total), Lunch with DD ($12), stuff to clean his car ($16.34), and a automated car wash ($5).

He also got gas for his car and it was $27 to fill up the tank. So, I suppose he ended up spending almost $70 for an "inexpensive" day out with DD.

Surprisingly, that IS inexpensive to us. Usually, we go to the mall or around the neighborhood and spend double that in a weekend. I guess we did really well this weekend.
