Does anyone have experience in this?

My DH and I were talking with our young newlywed relatives about having their taxes done for the first time together. This person wasn't very helpful and charged too much, let alone may have not done them right. I was mentioning things that they could have deducted (we all know them on here!) and he didn't even ask them.
SO anyway, after they left my dh mentioned that I could be a tax preparer since I obsess over figures (I guess he meant that in a good way! Ha!) And that I could use a part of the basement when we build our house to work from home if I wanted. Our tax lady works from her home mainly Jan-April by appointment only and makes tons of money. There aren't any tax services in the town we will be moving to either as far as I know. I have been wanting to do something because eventhough I love it now, I know I cannot wait tables forever. I will be 30 next month and I have a herniated disk. I HATE school, so I don't want to go back to college, but I wouldn't mind taking some classes to get certified in tax preparation/maybe notary too. I have a diploma for Medical Reception, but don't want to do that now. I would love to be my own "boss" and could write off a lot of expenses from home plus get the kids to and from the bus.
Does anyone here do this or know anything about it? What do you think? DH just got my wheels turning....thanks!! ~Nicki

Hey Nicki,
Do you have an H&R Block near you?
