How could I be so stupid??

I really thought that I was on the right track this month. I sat down at the beginning and really worked on my budget. I clipped coupons and watched the grocery ads for sales. Plus I returned the two items I bought as impulses. But, I managed to mess it up! I went out of town with my BF for three days - on money I sat aside and planned to use for the trip. But, I forgot to transfer the money from my savings account to my checking. I thought there was enough money in my checking to cover everything and I would transfer it when I got home but there wasn't. One of my credit cards it set up with overdraft protection so I don't have a bounced check or anything but I am stuck with a $10 charge for each and every single transaction (totalling 50 - 60 bucks) plus it put the charges on my credit card which I was so diligently trying to pay down. :-( I am just really angry with myself for being stupid and not paying better attention to my balance and everything. Although I can put the money from savings immediately on the credit card I still have the extra fees.
ARRGGHH.... I just really needed to vent about that. It is frustrating to have a set back when I was working so hard to get things together.

Well, I feel a little bit better. I just finished balancing my checkbook and paying some bills. I also arranged to consolidate both of my credit cards into one. The transfer amount will only have a 2.9% interest rate which is a huge improvement over the 25% it did have. Although there is a small fee for the balance transfer I think I will save money in the long run, plus I now only have one credit card bill to pay! yeah for that.

And since it prompted you to consolidate at a lower interest rate, maybe it was worth it.
Good luck!
May i suggest calling the bank and asking them if they can reverse the charge since we were able to cover the money. Sometimes banks will do this to keep you as a customer. I've done a transfer and my transfer didn't hit my bank in time. But the person I spoke to at the bank was nice and polite and wavied my fees.
my best.
I agree with usg1865. Don't beat yourself up over this mistake. You have the good sense to have an overdraft protection on your account. I do now but last year I did not and I made some balance errors and I got hit with $33 in NSF charges for EACH - I think I had 3 - that was $100 out the door.
I like Coldreality's suggestion - call the bank - the worst thing they could say would be no. It's worth a shot.
I think you should also be proud of yourself for putting money aside for this trip - very smart!!!!
