Hey.. I noticed on the other post you mentioned your timeshare.. Do you think
this was a good investment? I recently bought one with my fiance for about $7000 in
Las Vegas.. I think we have 2 weeks every year..
But along with maintainence fees do you think it was worth it?

I am just trying to get a feel of it, because I thought it was a great investment but I don't know.. I am having second thoughts..

Thanks!

Hi there - I'm obviously not mymartes, and I don't own a timeshare.

I do urge you to reconsider if you're still in the time frame where you can do so.

Not sure if you're a Clark Howard fan (he's a consumer advocate with a talk radio show).

All my best,
Danni

We bought ours in Las Vegas. However, our home resort is in Orlando, Florida. We bought it in 1998 for $12K. Before we had the twins, we traveled alot. We thought it would be a good idea for when we had kids. It's better than staying in a hotel. We have a week each year. If we don't go to our home resort, we can exchange our week to anywhere in the world. For the past few years, we have been space banking our weeks.

I have no regrets in purchasing a timeshare. We have a deed to it. We can leave it in our will for kids to continue enjoying it.

Maintenance and tax fees is paid once a year. It's a tax write off.

I hope you enjoys yours.
