....well CC debt anyway (I still have student loans)....

I sent my last CC to Best Buy last Friday and the check cleared today. I ofically own everthing I have, all my clothes, shoes fruniture and whatever else that was on those cards!!! I have no more CC bills!!!! I still plan on using my CC's, but only if I can pay them off every month. I managed to keep a little emergency fund of about 3K. I won't have any big bills until July when I have to renew my car insurance (expecting about 2K for the next six months). So I'll use the next couple months to beef up my emergency fund and maybe go shopping a little. I haven't been shopping for myself in almost a year (I started paying off my CC's last July)....

This feels so great.... You're all invited to my 'out of debt' party!!!!

Good for you girl!!! Doesn't it feel great to have no credit card debt??!! All that hard work paid off!! I just paid mine off last month~~ I love seeing those loan commercials when they say "Are you struggling with credit card debt?" and I yell "Nope!!!!" at the TV! I am never using them again.

Actually 2000$ for six months is actually a break for me. I'm only 23, live in Jersey, and have a slightly less than perfect driving record. I was with Allstate (state mandated high risk carrier) and paying 8500$ for a year. I lost some points, but it only would have went down to 7600$. I switched to GEICO in January, and pay only a little over 2K for a six month policy. I'll loose a couple points in June, before I have to renew, so it will be even less then 2K. So I basically saved over 3500$ a year by changing companies....I don't think I can get much cheaper insurance until I turn 25.
