Last weekend DH and I sold a very nice fridge that has been collecting dust bunnies in our garage.

All my best,

I always feel very victorious and almost smug (if there's a word with a good tone for smug, that would probably be the better choice! lol) when we're able to sell stuff that's in the house and apply it to the cc. Whether it's ebay, half.com, or a rummage sale, it feels really good. As long as we send it right away, we're safe.

Congratulations on decluttering and snowflaking! :)

This coming weekend I will be (hopefully) selling a bunch of stuff in my brother's garage sale. He lives in one of those big fancy neighborhoods that is having an association garage sale, so I will be putting lots and lots of stuff in there. I don't ever use any of my stamping or scrapbooking stuff anymore, so I will try to get rid of that stuff, as well as a bunch of PartyLite stuff that I got free for hosting a party, stuff I will never use! It'll be so nice to make a little extra cash off of this stuff and clear it out of my apt. Less stuff to pack up next time I move! :) I'll let you all know how it goes! Wish me luck!

deciding to be happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but that you had decided to look beyond the imp

We have a giant yard sale every year in my condo development. Last year, I got rid of a bunch of home decor that I had bought years ago that do not fit in with my new condo. I made about $200.00. I sent the extra money towards my bills (I didn't have a credit card balance at the time of the yard sale. I try to keep those down).

Back when we had credit card debt, I got into flylady briefly. Our credit card debt was only a thousand dollars, but we still paid it off simply by counting the two huge jugs of change in the closet and having a big garage sale to sell all our clutter. It felt so GREAT to have a decluttered house and no more debt!

Congrats. I'm glad you have stuff you can sell to help you. I barely have furniture in my apt. LOL Good luck and keep getting that balance down!!
