Ever lost a credit card?

How responsible/careful/aware have you been of your credit cards? I am talking about the physical plastic card that you may be using or paying off (or have paid off) or carrying around in your wallet or keeping in a drawer for whatever reason. Have you ever lost a credit card and had to replace it?? Have you been unable to find it and eventually found it in a strange place? Why was it in the strange place? Do you have a system to keep track of the cards? Has anyone in your household or a friend ever taken your card, and you didn't know.....how did you eventually find out?

I keep my cards with the statements.
All my best,

I have not lost any credit cards yet, but I have found them... 2 in the hallway of my apartment and about 3 in the supermarket...and I found those on top of the oranges in the fruit and vegetable dept!!! Since there is a bank in the supermarket, I turned those in there. One that I found in my hallway I actually called and cancelled myself because no one knew who it belonged to, must have been a visitor.
Usually I have problems with cards getting demagnetized, but I'd rather deal with that than a lost card.

Anyone who has credit cards should make a copy of the front and back of the card. The staple to a statement.
That way, if the card is lost or stolen, you will have a copy of the 'card', you can make the calls to cancel it right away as you will have the customer service number, account number, and the 3 digit number .
