Hi all,

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that this is a support board. I want to list the Rules of Play here one more time (in addition to cl-phocid's reminder) just so no one misses it:

  • Banish "You shoulds." We are here to acknowledge our personal truths, not to tell each other what to do.
  • Banish "How could you's." This group is a safe place to share a trying aspect of our lives. We are not here to judge each other or to put anyone else on the defensive.
  • Bring your humility. A humble attitude is important. No one is better than anyone else.
  • Do not spam. Solicitations are forbidden by iVillage's Terms of Service, and that rule will be strictly enforced here. So don't even think about it.
  • Foster a supportive environment: Remember, we're here not just for ourselves but for others as well. Listen openly and carefully to each other and share only what you are comfortable with, when you are ready.

A few other things to consider . . .

The holidays are an emotional time of year for all of us for any number of reasons.

All my best,

Hi, ladies. Well, truly I do try to adhere to the rules of the board. Sometimes, I just give examples, as that's all I have to go on. Oh, yeah, there are several ways to paraphrase, such as, "perhaps", or "consider" etc. Too bad I dont have an online thesaurus (sp?) where there are better word and phrase choices. Each one of us is on a unique debt journey, but it is the connective community and experiences, I think, that draw us together. There is such an opportunity to learn from each perspective. So, with that, I will eat a slice of humble pie, and give thanks for the board that we are.:) Regards, the not perfect, still learning, evolving whiz.:)

The beginning of the new year always brings out new posters, so I thought this would be a good time to bump this up.
