I called & they DID waive the $32 NSF !!

After reading the responses to my original post (about overdrafting my account by $5), I called the 1 800 number and put my saddest, sincerest voice on and explained how upset my DH was and he wanted to switch banks but I wanted to stay and we were longtime customers blah blah..so she listened and switched me to my main branch. SHe must have told my banker the whole story because she said "I'm taking the fee off, I know you guys have been with us for a long time, Happy Mother's Day!"
Yippeeeee!!!! That's $32 back in my checking!!!!
I wasn't even going to try it cause I know it was my fault, but after reading some of your posts and talking to a girl at work that did it- I figured what could it hurt? That just shows us it never hurts to try, some of these banks really want to keep us! Thanks everybody! Now I will be extra extra careful not to do it again!!!!

All my best,
Danni
I'm glad you called.
Believe it or not I had a credit card company do that - it was years ago though, somehow we never got one of the bills, so I got a late fee, etc....
