Did I last say, "STOP the SHOPPING????"....
Last night I was at the discount shops with some friends and Cousin Bernadette....Just bring Cousin Bernadette and watch that shopping cart fill up....we spent $100 on stuff....This morning I ask Cousin Bernadette why we spent so much on t-shirts, and she said the obvious answer: They were $5 each and we liked them at the time....this morning I don't like the way they fit, so I think I'll take some of them back. I said to her we've blown our financial plans for the next 19 days, and she's looking at me like she had nothing to do with it....and maybe she's right....(and I'm finding that she likes debit cards just as much as credit.) Well, so begins the end of yesterday's paycheck. (I will be bringing back about $40 in stuff.....just counted it up. That's groceries for this week!)
It is official that I paid off the car repair bills from February as of today. It is a relief to have that item off the budget FOR NOW. And now I have to make an effort to recover from the rest of the spending I have done, esp. last week's wedding spending. I feel like I am on some vicious cycle of spending spending spending....Ever notice how events inconveniently align so when you need to save/not spend there is pressure to spend???
I am aiming to have tomorrow be only a grocery shopping day. I have so much to do in this house and am always complaining about not having TIME....so MAKING TIME tomorrow and aside from the grocery store, NOT SPENDING.
I do have 2 things I have to spend on today.....now I'm feeling a bit frustrated....but I will be okay. Just gotta keep pushing ahead.
Looking forward to returning the t-shirts! Littlesbigs

Good for you. And *I* will return the curtain rods I bought. I bought two sets, but they were made in China, so I bought two more that were made in the USA, but never returned the China ones. I will find the receipt and put them in my car tonight!
Thanks again for the inspiration,
Lee Ann, also getting confused between debit and credit cards...
